The Detroit Lions signed former Dallas Cowboys guard Leonard Davis to a one-year deal, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The Cowboys cut the 33-year-old Davis before training camp. The move saved the Cowboys $6 million against the salary cap in 2011. Davis was scheduled to earn $6 million in base salary and count $9.416 million against the cap this season. Davis, who signed a seven-year deal worth $49 million in 2007 as a free agent from Arizona, started every game he played for the Cowboys and was named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons. Hopefully this will help us run the ball more effectively if he is plugged in for Peterman...he cant be any where close to football shape right now imo.
We need two Tackles, a new guard and a new center and at this point I'm not even sure I want Sims anymore either....
