could be the game of the week as far as entertainment value. good match-up.

This is one of the games saints fans and players circle on the calander every year.

saints. looking forward to this 1. prolly gonna watch this out the early games before the 49ers game.

 

these games are usually hard fought slobberknockers. This, in my opinion, in one of the chippiest rivalries in the league. The players really don't like each other, came into the league a year apart and been playing each other since the West days. There will be some great hits in this game. And usually a fight or two. Also maybe some on the field also. Back in the day we used to own game in Atlanta. More Saints fans there than Falcon fans. Never really understood that. But that has changed lately since they began winning. I hope our defense plays their best game and totally shut the Falcons down. On a side note but game related Payton said he wants to erect a statue showing that block by Steve Gleason when the Saints reopened the dome against these Falcons. Thought that was pretty cool

This is the single dumbest coaching decision I've ever seen. In OT the Falcons have the ball on THEIR 30 4th and inches.....and they are going for it?

 

Turner loses a yard.

Chip shot fg and the Saints win.

Mike Smith should be fired. There is no excuse for that type of brain fart.

i agree, i've heard 'some' pundits trying to justify Smith's decision to go for it, but that was just plain idiotic. i'm sure he has told his team that he did it because he had confidence in his offense .............. personally, i wonder if he just didn't trust his defense.

either way, you NEVER do that.

 

and on your own 30 at that. I was thankful for that decision but it was a headscratcher.

 

Brees got in his head......in the post game interview he said he went for it because of all the times he has seen Brees march it back down the field to score
