Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin says there’s “no substance†to a report linking him with the head coaching job at Tulane. Philbin says he’s “got a great job here†in Green Bay and hasn’t talked to anybody at Tulane about the job as of Tuesday evening. ESPN reported Monday that Tulane had interest in Philbin. Philbin has been with the Packers since 2003 and has been the team’s offensive coordinator since 2007, although offensive-minded Packers coach Mike McCarthy calls the plays. Philbin was a graduate assistant at Tulane from 1984-85 and has a master’s degree in education from the school.

  4. They actually could be good. You have all that Louisiana talent right there. No reason a Coach couldn't be successful there. Plus, they are getting a new stadium so that's a plus.

this particular rumor may not hold much water, but obviously with the packers continued success, their front office and coaching people are going to start getting picked off one by one so we will be hearing more and more of these rumors surrounding the pack.

They'll all be the subject of coaching rumors on both the college and professional levels.

yep, especially if the packers repeat, it will be a free-for-all of packers coaches and front office people getting snatched up
