Ndamukong Suh could see some time at defensive end today against the Carolina Panthers according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. Lions defensive ends Willie Young and Lawrence Jackson missed practice for the third straight day Friday and are questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers because of ankle and thigh injuries, respectively. If one or both can't play, defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham said he had options for backup ends. "We have two other guys that we can put out there," Cunningham said. "No. 90 (Ndamukong Suh), I think he'd probably be pretty good. I've been waiting for that for about two years now, and maybe this is the game. And Fairley believe it or not, he can do that, too. So we've got enough firepower." Suh moved from defensive tackle to end for a handful of plays last year. Fairley said he played end in one defensive package at Auburn. "I can stand up there, get on an island, but sometimes I feel like there's too much space out there," Fairley said. "I need to be compact with some bodies around me." Source: The Redzone
