According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Kyle Orton and his agent David Dunn had started talking to Broncos officials about the move after it was learned Chicago Bears' quarterback Jay Cutler suffered a broken thumb on his right passing thumb Sunday that will likely sideline him for the rest of the season. Orton has declined to comment. While it is likely Orton would like to return to Chicago, there are a number of teams that have suffered injuries to their top quarterbacks in addition to the Bears. Houston has lost Matt Schaub for a unknown length of time and the Chiefs yesterday placed Matt Cassel on injured reserve, ending his season. If both Houston and Chicago put waiver claims on Orton, the Texans would get him because their strength of schedule is easier than Chicago's. Source: The Redzone
