The Washington Redskins have placed running back Tashard Choice on waivers, Rick Maese of The Washington Post reports. Claimed off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month, Choice sat out the first two games with the Redskins with a hamstring injury before carrying the ball six times for seven yards and catching one pass for two yards against the Cowboys last Sunday. Replacing Choice on the active roster is rookie running back Evan Royster, a 2011 sixth-round pick out of Penn State who ran for 110 yards and one touchdown with two receptions for 18 yards in four preseason games. The Redskins have signed running back Tristan Davis to the practice squad. Source: Mac's Football Blog
I think they just picked him up for the Dallas game in all honesty. Tashard will catch on somewhere I believe.
The UFL Not an NFL back. One dimensional, and had only had one good season at that one dimension I give him credit for running hard against some tough D's back in 2008. But he has done nothing as a runner since, and cant block or catch
He had a decent game in his rookie season against the Steelers. I think that was his first start...went for almost 100. Ravens too...I believe.
He was a decent runner, but thats it. And most of his best running was done on shotgun draws and direct snaps
Choice had a great attitude. He just couldn't get on the right track as far as our scheme. I think someone will give him another shot, I just don't know what kind of career he will have. I do wish the guy luck...
