Broncos QB Tim Tebow's Speech Helps Inspire Team To Win In OT

The night before Sunday's overtime 16-13 win over the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos coach asked quarterback Tim Tebow to deliver the pre-game message to the squad. Tebow quoted scripture from Proverbs 27:17 that says, "Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." On Sunday afternoon, the Broncos and Tebow proved themselves to be sharper than the slumping San Diego Chargers, claiming the OT win and pushing their record to 6-5 and in the thick of both the AFC West race and the wild-card chase. "He said iron sharpens iron and men sharpen other men. And I think that's totally true. He gave us a great speech. We came out (for the game) fired up. And that was a wrap," linebacker Von Miller told the Denver Post. Tebow called being asked by Fox to speak to the team "a huge honor," and his style of play has the Broncos playing inspired football and playing well enough that even his critics have a hard time arguing with the bottom line right now.

Some still don't. As for Tebow, no one questioned his leadership. But when he has to pass to win I can't see it happening.

IF Denver would put some guys that could catch a football in his receiving corps he would complete at least 15% more of his passes.

I believe in the man but not the bullcrap. But that's for another thread entirely. Tebow is a terrible QB but they are doing a fantastic job playing to his strengths. If they can keep winning this way then more power to them. Maybe they can even keep it going long enough for him to learn to throw.

Let's see what happens when his defense has a bad day and he's forced to throw it.
