Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz reportedly is interested in the head-coaching opening at Arizona State, where he once served as an assistant. According to a Twitter report from Doug Haller of the Arizona Republic, Martz is interested in filling the vacancy created by the firing Monday of Sun Devils coach Dennis Erickson. Martz, who spent nine seasons as Arizona State's quarterbacks/receivers coach (1983, 1986-87) and offensive coordinator (1984, 1988-91), is in the final year of his contract with the Bears after declining to acccept a renewal offer during the offseason.

A win-win situation, don't have to hear anymore Martz crap and the Bears can get a co-ordinator who isn't stuck in the past.
