The backdrop to Ndamukong Suh's appealing of the suspension that will cost a reported $165,000 in salary is, again, his on-the-field personality. [Suh's] actions last week weren't the first such incidents of on-field violence in which the defensive star has been involved. When Suh pushed Evan Dietrich-Smith's head to the ground three times and stomped on the guard's right arm, it reminded Beaverton (Ore.) High coach Bob Boyer of 2004. That's the year Suh, playing for Portland's Grant High, punched one of Boyer's offensive linemen in a playoff game. It was Suh's final high school game. "Sometimes your emotions can get the best of you, and you have to control them," Boyer said. Source: The Detroit News
