No team claimed Donovan McNabb by the 4 p.m. ET waiver deadline Friday, leaving the former Vikings QB without a team entering Week 13's games, according to ESPN. Any team is now free to pick up the six-time Pro Bowler. In the meantime, Minnesota is on the hook for the remaining $1.485 million of his salary. McNabb requested and was granted his release Thursday. Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com reports that McNabb asked to be cut after being demoted to No. 3 on the depth chart behind Joe Webb. Given the Kitna situation, I'm surprised the Cowboys didn't put in a claim for him like they did with Orton.
haha. this is really bad, especially considering how desperate some teams are for qb's right now. mcnabb may make a decent tv analyst. he says some interesting stuff.
