Patriots' rookie Nate Solder has been fined $7500 by the NFL for an illegal clip in the team's win over the Eagles last Sunday. "Specifically, on a run play, he struck the opponent from behind and below the waist," a league spokesman said in an email. Solder was flagged for clipping on a third-quarter direct snap play to Danny Woodhead on third-and-4 for the Patriots. Philly declined the penalty; Woodhead only picked up a yard on the play.
