An MRI on Bears running back Matt Forte's knee today confirmed he suffered a grade 2 MCL sprain, with no damage to his ACL according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune reports Forte has played through a significant knee injury before. Forte sprained the MCL in his left knee during Week 3 in 2009 and never missed a game. He had arthroscopic surgery on that knee in January 2010.

Good News for the Bears. Good chance he can return at the end of the season.

A Grade 2 Cruciate Ligament Sprain is a month minimum for recovery. If I was he's agent I'd be telling him to sit, because if he plays on it there's a big chance that turns into grade 3 and he can kiss goodbye to a big contract.
