A disturbing incident of fan violence was reported over the weekend in New York, where a Jets fan says he was badly beaten by a bunch of drunk Kansas City Chiefs fans who yelled 9/11 taunts before the attack. The family of P.E. teacher James Mohr, 23, told the New York Post that Mohr, dressed in Jets gear, was walking through the MetLife Stadium parking lot after New York's 37-10 victory over the Chiefs last Sunday when he heard the offensive taunts. "Our other brother is a fireman, and my father is retired FDNY, so you can understand why a 9/11 comment would especially irk him," Mohr's sister Anna said, according to FoxSports.com. "He was shocked anyone would actually say something like that." The Post said up to seven people jumped Mohr, and cited a police source as saying that at least one was wearing a Chiefs jersey. Mohr underwent hours of surgery Tuesday at Hackensack University Medical Center to repair a fractured jaw, cheekbone and eye socket. The newspaper said a New Jersey man was arrested on an assault charge in connection with the attack, and an investigation is ongoing. Source: NFL.com
I don't condone what those guys did or the stuff they were doing, but jesus christ in that situation you don't pick a fight.
It's not like that previous beating was the first time a guy every got his butt kicked by a bunch of drunk buttholes outside of a stadium. That's a story whenever it happens regardless of previous beatings.
After we figured out, that this is a sports sory, can we now get back on topic? Right. It's just what hooligans do. Insult persons and hope they pick up the fight
Pick your battles. I get he was offended by the 9/11 comments but seven on one are not odds anyone should take. The drunken bastards are worthless human beings in my book. I wonder if his family is going to sue the Jets like that Giants fan did the Dodgers. I'm sure some idiot would like to place blame on the Jets for not having "enough" security.
I think you're looking too far into it. KC and NY don't have a fierce rivalry so when a group of fans jumps somebody from the other team it doesn't count as fan violence? Really?
