After losing starting quarterback Matt Schaub and No. 2 quarterback Matt Leinart to season-ending injuries, fifth-round quarterback T.J. Yates made his second NFL start and led a dramatic come-from-behind win on the road to beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 20-19. Coupled with the Tennessee Titans' 22-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints, the Texans have now clinched their first AFC South title since joining the league in 2002. The Texans trailed by nine points at the start of the fourth quarter, but Yates led a pair of 13-play, 80+ yard scoring drives to get the win. Yates led an 83-yard drive that ended with a Neil Rackers field goal and an 80-yard drive that culminated in a six-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Walter with two seconds remaining. Rackers added the extra point to provide the winning point. Yates completed 26-of-44 pass attempts for 300 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the win. Source: Mac's Football Blog
No denying the Texans the division this season. I think even if Manning were In the division, the Texans would've taken it. Congrats.
the texans finally get over the hump. question now is, are they the dark horse in the afc for january? i'm not sure i've fully bought into the ravens/patriots/steelers domination hype.
This city is starving for some playoff action! Next goal is to be the #1 seed and on to the ,what? SUPERBOWL! hahaha The END IS NEAR!!
um, why? we always knew Wade was a good d.c. nothing about this season has changed anyone's opinion of him as an h.c. ..............
well the radio stations here in Houston think it can help Wade. If you look at his winning record it's not schaby and his teams go to the playoffs.
