The NFL has fined Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall $7,500 for throwing an official’s flag during Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots, a league official confirmed Friday evening. Hall was called for defensive holding during a third-quarter play. Immediately after receiving the penalty, Hall picked up the flag and threw it upfield. Hall then was slapped with a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Hall has declined interview requests all week but coach Mike Shanahan said that Hall, as a defensive captain, must do a better job of maintaining his composure and displaying better leadership. There is no need for this to be a fine, he didn't hurt anyone or even do anything that could hurt anyone, he isn't repeatedly doing things like this silly escapade. Sure it was stupid, but really no need for this. I hope the NFL must donate these fines to charity or something. Does anyone know what the NFL does with fine money?
