The St. Louis Rams will fire general manager Billy Devaney and head coach Steve Spagnuolo, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports. Under Devaney and Spagnuolo, the Rams are just 10-38, losing 14+ games in two of the last three seasons. St. Louis showed improvement in 2010, finishing 7-9 and coming within one game of an NFC West title, but regressed to 2-14 in 2011. The Rams have the second overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. A report last week in the San Diego Union-Tribune had Rams owner Stan Kroenke planning a house-cleaning in the team's front office and coaching staff after this season, with current San Diego Chargers general manager A.J. Smith a potential replacement for Devaney, should Chargers ownership make a change in their power structure. Source: Mac's Football Blog
we suspected there would be a total house cleaning for the rams. i'm sure they would like to be in the ball game for one of the big name coaches who is going to want personnel power.
