Tight end Martellus Bennett is among 20 Cowboys who will be free agents in the offseason. It’s safe to say he can’t wait to test the market in hopes of finding an opportunity to be a starter in NFL. He has been a disappointing backup for Pro Bowler Jason Witten since being picked in the second round of the 2008 draft out of Texas A&M. “I feel I want to see what is available on the market,â€￾ Bennett said. “I feel like I am a guy that can start for a lot of teams in the NFL. That’s what I want to do. I don't want to be behind a Hall of Famer all of my career.â€￾

  4. M. Bennett is a bust plain and simple. I like, and think, John Phillips is better.

We got a dude who when he does catch the ball he wants to stop and wait and think about what he's going to do. The only good MartyB has shown and proved in his whole time is his run blocking. He is one of the players That I was excited for, but watching his entire career.. All I can say is, bust.

I know he's a good blocker. Won't knock him on that. But I hate his laziness when the ball is in his hands, knowing he can be so much better than what he is.
