Jim Harbaugh has been known to be outspoken and let's not forget "handshake-gate" with Lions coach Jim Schwartz, Harbaugh has given the underdog Lions some extra incentive against the Saints according to Chris McCosky of the Detroit News. Radio station 97.1 was playing a sound bite from Harbaugh on Wednesday, with his NFC West champion 49ers off this week, he was asked about trying to prepare for potentially three opponents in the second round. "It's more the Saints," he said. "The greater share (of the prep) is for the Saints." It could be that because the 49ers already have played the Lions this season, he needs to do more work to get ready for the Saints (though they played them during the exhibition season). More likely, though, Harbaugh doesn't think the Lions can beat the Saints. "That's pretty ignorant," Lions center Dominic Raiola said. "The guy is outspoken. He's a young, energetic guy and that's fine. That's his opinion and he's entitled to his opinion. We will see if we can't change that." Source: The Redzone
Come on already damn, now they are upset because Harbaugh didn't say he was game planning for the Lions whom they played in Oct. and instead focused on the team that is better than the Lions and whom the 49ers haven't played since August...shame on Harbaugh for having a brain...
I didnt hear one analyst or fan besides Lomas Brown pick the Lions... Im sure the same will go this week... already all I hear is Saints / Packers NFCCG...
49ers are my pick to win it all And this is a realllllllll reach if this is ever bulletin board stuff
I would assume that is because the Saints can score and the Niners kick field goals, but you know maybe not.
