So, we have our 12 teams in the playoffs. Many of them backed-in. Many of them have major injuries they're dealing with. The Packers and Saints seem to be the 2 favorites among people that know the sport. So, the question becomes: If you were forced to bet right now on the SB champ, would you choose the Packers or Saints to win it all or if you could get the rest of the field instead, which would you choose?
Saints, the people saying we can't win in January in Lambeau honestly know nothing about our team our leadership or our ability. It will be nice to laugh at them when Brees is holding up another Trophy.
i think the saints and pack should be the favorites but it's tough to not take the field since weird crap sometimes happens in january.
Yea, favorites but with those D's....:icon_rolleyes: There's teams out there more than capable of keeping Brees/Rodgers off the field & bringing those favorites back to the pack. See the Packers/Saints as favorites but holding onto my wallet...
yep, with those D's, it's not impossible that one of the other 10 teams could win this thing. i would take the field.
Thats the answer...the people saying we cant win in Lambeau...those are the people giving us no credit.
Well theres every talking head on ESPN, every sports writer outside of New Orleans and quite a few people on this forum...
well, yes, i've been hearing quite a bit of chatter about the saints not being able to play outdoors in harsh weather but most of the time people are bringing it up when they're trying to figure out a way the saints could lose because they seem very strong, as if they could just blow through the rest of the teams. i think most knowledgeable football fans see how strong the saints are right now and what a threat they are. People are just trying to look at all of the angles (falcons/saints/houston possibly not doing as well in cold weather ........... major injuries to the steelers and texans ............ etc.)
I think the NFC Championship is going to be the quasi-Super Bowl anyway. The AFC teams have too many holes to exploit. I'd roll the dice with the Pack and Saints though.
I freaking hope not. I think this year the NFC is clearly the much much much better conference. The Packers, Saints, and Giants all scare me more than any AFC team. Looks like now the AFC has some catching up to do.
I would put money on patriots vs saints/packers superbowl. To me the pats are a lock and packers saints is a toss up.
so, 7 voted for the field and 5 took the saints/packers .............. the playoffs are just so unpredictable, I will always take the field at the beginning of the playoffs over 1 or 2 'favorites' ............ last year, before the playoffs, the patriots were the clear favorite, about 2 to 1 and the steelers and falcons were second, both about 11 to 2 ............... how did it work out for those 3 ? hell, last year, you could have taken the field over the top THREE favorites and still won.
