Monday, Arizona State linebacker Vontaze Burfict dropped a hint on his Facebook page that he was ending his college football career, according to the Arizona Republic, writing that he was "expanding (his) talents to the next level."Tuesday, Burfict made good on the hint, announcing he would forgo his senior season to enter the NFL draft, ESPN college football reporter Joe Schad reported.Burfict is ranked No. 15 on ESPN NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.'s Big Board.Burfict was credited with 69 tackles, 40 of them solo, along with five interceptions at Arizona State this season. He's credited with 219 tackles in three seasons. Source: ESPN
I pity the team that gets this headcase. Incredible talent with a beast body to go along with it, but the only person he listens to is himself. He continually hecked the Sun Devils with major penalties (taking off his helmet while getting in the face of an opponent, mocking opponents he's tackled, and so on). He'll fit beautifully in the lineage of some of the DB's in the NFL known to be cancers in the locker room and time bombs on the field.
If that turns out to be true the Ravens D would get even better....instantly. Burfict and Suggs are "tight" as ASU alums. And if the players can self police his attitude, the Ravens would really be downright scary.
^I agree, and i hope he makes it to our pick in the first. I think our locker room will be good for him and he has elite MLB talent
Burfict should be available in the early to late 20's. Jerry Reese is known for drafting players with huge upside...........he should mature under Tom Coughlin. Goff tore his ACL and is a free agent and Greg Jones didn't pan out. JPP was an excellent pick and I have the same feelings about Burfict.
hes a terrible fit for the giants and 43 teams, if you want a 43 LB kuechly is the choice. taze is a thumper in a 34
