The members of the Super Bowl committee lately have been content to award hosting duties in cities in the northern part of the U.S. For instance, Indianapolis here and New Jersey in 2014. But what about an international Super Bowl? Apparently, that’s been something the committee has discussed. “There’s a little bit of change in philosophy,†Irsay said Monday. “We have the 50-year anniversary coming up, which we’re looking at. There are some members of our committee who have been thinking about having an international Super Bowl in London. That obviously has some real pluses and minuses if you weren’t going to have it on American soil. Right now, we’re in a wait-and-see approach.â€

Bad Idea. We already get raped by the coversation rate for IS tickets, few would cough up £350+. And thats not taking into account the time difference...

Fuuuuuuuuck that. That would be the stupidest thing Goodell has done. But knowing his boner for making this league "international" it will probably happen eventually.

If your a businessman and you've basically got full control of a market that's close to saturation point, why wouldn't you expand? Goodell is right to promote the game outside the borders, just not like this.

Enough already with the "games in London" garbage!
The NFL is a mild novelty in Europe and that's all it will be.

    Thanks.

The hoards of fair-weather fans in North America would suggest that the game, too, is a "novelty" over there.
