Peyton Manning is in the middle of a difficult breakup with the Indianapolis Colts, and it appears he's ready to run into the arms of another NFL team. An NFL source says Miami is on the short list of teams Manning would like to play for when/if the Colts release him to avoid paying a $28 million bonus, which is due on March 8. Manning and his wife own a condo on South Beach and a source said they'd love to relocate to South Florida if the fit is right. A second source confirmed Manning's interest in the Dolphins. Playing for the Dolphins would allow Manning to remain in the AFC, and the Colts are on Miami's schedule next season, which is an added bonus. Source: Sun-Sentinel
this makes sense ........... the cards makes sense ........... we've heard the skins and browns mentioned but i think peyton is going to want to go to a place that is closer to giving him a chance at a SB
Arizona was my bet all along but I'm letting this play out on its own. It was just a few days ago the most well known NFL reporter said he wasn't even able to throw a ball, not listening to what "sources say" on this anymore.
Arizona would make the most sense if he's looking for the best chance to win a Super Bowl now. Miami would be a challenge and possible, but it would be much harder going through New England and New York than San Francisco and Seattle, St. Louis. On paper...of course...lol.
yes, you're right. i told myself yesterday i was going to quit listening to anything with this story until something concrete happens and then I ended up reading this story out of curiosity ................ it's just everywhere right now. it's all people are talking about other than the SB.
Arizonas a horrible option for him. They arent a QB away from being a SB team for one, and the most glaring concern (at least it should be for him), their awful, awful offensive line. Mannings A#1 priority when looking for landing spots should be a solid pass protecting offensive line, he cannot be taking any unnecessary shots if he wants to play more than a week or two, and AZ aint that.
I would take a 75% Peyton any day of the week. In Philbin's WCO he won't have to throw 45 yard lasers. He just need to put the ball in the right spot, which is cake walk for him.
