Deion Branch's season didn't end the way he wanted it with the New England Patriots losing in the Super Bowl to the New York Giants Sunday night. Branch is hoping the ending of his career will have his preferred outcome - as a Patriot for at least one more year, according to ESPNBoston.com. "This is where I want to be, this is where I want to retire," he said. "This is why I came back, for the opportunity to play in this game. I'm pretty sure I will be here in this position next year." Branch, an 11-year veteran, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent, and the receiver position would appear to be in flux in New England, where the lack of a true deep threat was exposed by the Giants defense Sunday night. I could do without him. Like they said what the team really needs is a guy that can beat the defense deep.
mh they should resign him and use him a little but they def. need a new starter but Branch can still play.
Branch has shown he can do a job...but he's also shown he just isn't starting calibre. Pats have got the short passing game nailed, they just need their next Randy Moss minus diva.
