Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray shed some light on his ankle injury on SiriusXM NFL Radio Friday morning. Murray said he's progressing well after tearing ligaments in his right ankle. It was initially believed he fractured his ankle. Nonetheless, Murray said he's been working out at the Cowboys facility and insists he'll have no problems being ready for 2012. "My rehab is going really well," Murray said. "It's not going to keep me from missing anything. ... I plan on hopefully starting to work and run a lot harder in another month. Then it'll be another month before we start workouts. ... Hopefully I'll be going up instead of going down." Source: CBS Sports
this guy is fun to watch when he's on the field.............. i just have a feeling his career is going to be more about injuries than success on the field. In fact, i'm not sure he'll ever be able to play as much as he played last year. he's just prone to injury and i think his running style doesn't help at all.
well, one of the reasons his draft stock wasn't real high coming out of Oklahoma was because he was hurt or injured all the time. He's had a long list of injuries.
I remember that but he only missed gametime in his freshman year and mybe like one game his senior year if I'm not mistaken Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If he comes back and continues where he left off last season I'll be sold and happy. We know that Felix is not a every down back. But with the two of them on the field and healthy we have a great setup.
yes, he missed 4 complete games plus he was limited or left early in another 10-15 games ............. his injury history WAS the primary reason this guy fell to the 3rd round. Any reputable scouting service had 'injury concerns' listed as his #1 weakness. I'm not sure why this is even up for debate. It's just a fact. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that Murray can't stay relatively injury free for several years but the trend seems to show that this guy is always dinged up. I would love for him to stay healthy for several years because he's fun to watch.
Look at Adrian Peterson. Same school and same injury problems. Just cause he was injured in college he will be injured in the pros. And I seem to recall Murray broke almost ALL of AP's records. Just something to think about. Not saying Murray will be better, just trying to make a point.
Completly different. AD has 2 rather serious injurys in college that little can be done to prevent. A high ankle sprain and a broken collarbone. Murray on the other hand was always nicked up. Apples to Oranges really Its already manifested itself in the pros with Murray
I just remember watching AD in college and it always seemed like he had a quad injury or an ankle or something.. My point is, I don't really think Murray will have these problems like he did in college. The injury he got this year was a freak thing, not like a tweak here or there. I believe with the advanced training staff in the NFL he will do just fine. my .02
I love Murray, but I dont have much faith he will stay healthy over a 16 game season. Things like injury historys have a way of carrying over to the NFL
i think everyone wants to see murray on the field (except for the cowboys rivals) ............. i hope he stays healthy because he's a fun player.
