Denver Broncos teammate Brady Quinn’s critical comments about quarterback Tim Tebow are generating headlines across the Internet, but Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs also is quoted in the GQ article that contains Quinn’s remarks. Suggs’ comments are similarly negative and surely will be recalled when the Ravens and Denver Broncos meet next season in Baltimore. In the GQ article titled “The Year of Magical Stinking: An Oral History of Tebow Time,†authored by sportswriter Michael Silver, Suggs had this to say: “They say we were giving him a hard time because he’s a Christian. No, that’s not it! We were giving him a hard time because he was terrible.†Suggs, who was named the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year earlier this month after leading the Ravens with 14 sacks in 2011, made frequent references to Tebow during the season, usually mocking the Broncos’ quarterback, who dominated media coverage of the NFL during the season. “I mean, it’s an insult to us players,†Suggs told GQ. “You know, wins are hard to come by in this league, and if I was Denver’s defense, I would feel a certain way – they’re not allowed to, because they’re all on one team, but people are making it look like Tim Tebow is the kid from Foxborough (Tom Brady), which that couldn’t be more opposite. It’s just crazy that we’re calling him a phenomenon when basically he’s mediocre. (Carolina rookie) Cam Newton is a way better quarterback than Tim Tebow, and we don’t have a Cam Newton phenomenon.â€

Same article, this writer looks like all he was doing was asking questions trying to trash Tebow. But its true so whatever.

Suggs has a big mouth, but he is correct.

    Everyone thought/thinks this.

Regardless, the defense and Timmy's ridiculous suck-for-three-quarters-and-kill-it-in-the-fourth habit helped them reach the playoffs.

Crap, I'd rather have Tebow than Flacco. Lol.

You can't be serious I would take Flacco over Tebow 10 out of 10 times

Wow really tebow over a playoff caliber QB. Tebow only got a chance to win those games because the broncos D were playing lights out and all there wins came against teams that were badly hurt on defense and offense.

    Uh.

You wanna bring up Denver's D and ignore the fact that Flacco has benefitted from a top 5 defense every single year of his career?

How about one of the better rushing games in the league with Ray Rice?

I was only half serious about Tebow over Flacco. But I don't like Flacco one bit. Reminds me of McNabb without the stupid grin.

well, Suggs plays for a team that is built around the defensive players having a superiority complex over the offensive players, so this shouldn't be a surprise.

Lets also point out the number of 300 yard games that Flacco had by this point in his career as compared to Tim Tebow shall we? Flacco is a FAR superior QB no matter how you look at it.

Flacco is way over rated...he's not terrible, but he's not great and like I said, over rated. It's not fair to rate Flacco as "FAR superior" over any starter in the league...

Over tebow he is superior. As far as a qb's go. Flacco looked a lot better this year then he had in the past
