The Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins won their respective coin tosses for draft positions this morning at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. The Chiefs won over the Seahawks meaning they will have the 11th draft choice in the first round and the Seahawks will have the 12th choice. The Dolphins won over the Panthers meaning they will have the 8th draft choice in the first round and the Panthers will have the 9th choice. Source: The Redzone
it's surprising to me how many times they need these coin tosses. they use strength of schedule as the first tiebreaker. it doesn't seem s.o.s. should be exactly the same that many times ......... :wtf1: it's just weird.
So no coin toss to "decide who wins" an overtime game, but you can use a coin toss to potentially decide a teams future? Just saying...
i agree. 1 spot (or in some cases 2 spots) can make a big difference in the type of player you get in the draft. It just seems weird to me that so many teams end up with the same record and the exact same strength of schedule. It seems like they have to do 1 or 2 of these coin tosses every year. Or is it just my imagination?
Its not your imagination cant find a site with this as an actual statistic but it happens pretty commonly
