Ben Roethlisberger isn't going to have Hines Ward available to catch his passes in 2012, and he might not have Mike Wallace either. But he told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he wants the team to re-sign veteran receiver Jerricho Cotchery to a deal. "Without Hines, I think you have to do everything you can to sign Jerricho back," Roethlisberger said. "He's not only a veteran leader in that room but a really good player. I'd love to see him come back because he's a really good receiver and I like what he brings to the team." Source: CBSSports
If they can come to terms with him, that'll most likely lock him up to at least 2013. Sign Wallace long term and then they need to work a way to get Brown under contract past 2012. Cotchery in and Brown in would essentially mark the end of the Sanders "era" in Pittsburgh.
