The recently unretired Moss did his part in selling himself to them after he "lit it up" working out for team officials on Tuesday, according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer. Via Twitter, Glazer reported Moss "looked like the old Randy" after running 45 routes in front of multiple evaluators, leaving those in attendance "floored." On Monday, Fox Sports reported Moss would be brought in by the Saints to show his wares, catching passes from former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brian Brohm. The Saints are in a free-agent jam at wide receiver, with both go-to guy Marques Colston and speedster Robert Meachem about to hit the open market next week. If Moss can still run well enough to consistently stretch the field, he would give them a cheap, low-risk alternative to potentially compensate for those departures. Source: Sporting News
I bet he did some magic tricks or something. And during a workout I'm sure he's on point but get in a real game and the guy gets bored. Make him stand on the sideline for 25 minutes during the "workout" and see what happens then!
It's also just one workout. Why wouldn't they hold him overnight and work him out tomorrow to see if he can handle the daily grind of training camp?
Could be scary. If Moss is motivated and wants to play with Brees like he did with Brady... Look out, they could be dynamic together. But that is a big IF.
i don't see how someone gives him a long-term deal......... this has to be an incentive-laden 1-year deal, right?
I kind of want Moss on this team with a LOW RISK contract. If he performs the Saints already insane aerial attack will be damn near impossible.
