Despite last season's playoff run and intense national interest, the Denver Broncos don't plan to keep quarterback Tim Tebow if they can sign Peyton Manning, according to a published report. The report from Pro Football Talk, which cited an unidentified "source with knowledge of the dynamics in Denver," said the team prefers to trade Tebow rather than release him. "The visit was productive," a Broncos source told The Denver Post. "The team is hopeful and encouraged by the time spent" with Manning. Pro Football Talk identified the Jacksonville Jaguars as a potential landing spot for Tebow, a former first-round pick who was a star player at Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and the University of Florida. Tebow would remain with the Broncos if Manning decides to sign elsewhere.

im a huge Tebow fan. But I do understand Denver releasing Tebow is they get Manning. Why do you need two starting quarterbacks on your roster? Im sure a team like Jacksonville or Cleveland would sign Tebow right away

I as well am a Tebow fan.. But I think Tebow needs to sit behind Manning and learn for a year or two. No amount of coaching will teach Tebow what Manning can show him. srsly

I agree Jacksonville would probably swoop him up even though they have Gabbert, but I'd be shocked if Holmgren became interested in him. And inclined to vomit.

Zero is completely on point with this one. Why get rid of him? Aaron Rodgers sat for how long behind Favre? Not comparing Tebow to Rodgers but honestly, what's the harm in letting Tebow learn from one of the greatest pure passers in NFL history? Tebow knows how to win and can run with the best of them. Let him learn behind Manning. And unless Brady Quinn is going to be the starter in the next 2 seasons when Manning has to retire from oldness/injury Tebow is a good back up option.

I don't get it... Manning isn't going to last 4-5 seasons. He's got a few left in him if he is even healed all the way. Tebow being let go is a shame, and shows they care not one bit about the kid. Tebow Magic, a one hit wonder? How are we even sure The jags want him now? They got Gabbert, and a whole new coaching staff and front office right?

Tebow isn't that great is it really a wonder they are letting him go. Brady Quinn could probably win just as many games as Tebow with that D.

i don't think elway has ever or will ever accept tebow as a legit nfl qb. it's probably best for everyone that they be separated.

Brady Quinn? Not a chance. If that was the case why not just bring in John Beck or Rex Grossman lol I mean Quinn has proven just as much as them, that he sucks. Couldn't beat out Derek Anderson for crying out loud.

Tebow going to Jacksonville? I heard Colin Cowherd say this as other, why would they take him after drafting Gabbert? I mean, Gabbert sucks and all but your done with him after 1 season?

You've got to be freaking kidding me. That DEFENSE won games. Not Tebow. I would rather have a bad QB (Brady Quinn, Rex) than a TERRIBLE one (Tebow). If you think that Brady Quinn is worse than Tim Tebow as a QUARTERBACK you should go see a Psychiatrist

Did Brady Quinn win any playoff games? Did Brady Quinn lead the Browns to multiple comeback wins and SLAY the Steelers D?

Say defense, special teams all you want but they won with Tebow. They didn't do that with Orton who was so much better then Tebow. Quinn has proven jack crap in this league other then he can stick around and do nothing.

I would be extremely shocked and disappointed in horse face if they let Tebow go, I thought the whole point of bringing in Manning would be to have Tebow learn from one of the greats.

Did the Browns have that Defense, Special Teams and Running Game when Brady was QB? Did the Browns play a banged up Steelers team that was limping into the playoffs?

Say that it was Tebow all you want. Tebow was 30th in the league in Passer Rating. Out of 32 Quarterbacks.

I would take Brady Quinn over Tebow any time ever.
