The San Francisco 49ers have signed trouble-prone former Denver Broncos cornerback Perrish Cox to a two-year contract, the team announced. Cox was cut by the Broncos after being accused of felony sexual assault on a sleeping woman and arrested on Dec. 9, 2010. Cox was found not guily of the charges in Douglas County Colorado on March 2. Cox is a former Broncos fifth-round draft pick selected 137th overall out of Oklahoma State two years ago. Source: Scout.com
I think hes actually a pretty good player for how young he is. Hes got speed, quickness and isn't afraid to impregnate a sleeping women. That shows a LOT of confidence!
Dont worry man people were saying the same thing when the niners drafted Aldon Smith and then turned another college DE into a FB. :icon_cool:
:laughy32: But yeah not a bad move. Cox showed a lot of promise as a prospect, if they can get his head back in the game this could be good. If not, life goes on. Not many people were excited about Rogers last year and look how that turned out, plus Fangio and Donatell turned a mid round rookie free safety into a legit starting corner last season, transformed Tarell Brown from a borderline NFL talent (and sinking fast) into a viable starting option, and was getting a lot out of Brock before he was injured.
