The Cowboys agreed to terms on a two-year deal with fullback Lawrence Vickers from the Houston Texans, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed. Vickers, a six-year veteran from Beaumont, Texas, played in 14 games last season. He only had one carry and had two special teams tackles for the Texans. Vickers was the lead running back for Arian Foster, who rushed for 1,224 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. Source: ESPNDallas/Forth Worth
I guess.. I was hoping Faimatta would be back. I thought he did a great job last year. Anyone know about this new guy we just signed? Is he any good?
Lawrence Vickers is a bad ass, I wanted him, I love Vickers. Played in Cleveland for a while most Cleveland fans I know want him back too.
I think the problem with Fiametta was that he had a problem with concussions. And you know how the NFL feels about concussions these days. You get one and you're out for a while. So, the Cowboys decided to cut him loose. That's a shame. I thought he was the main reason our running game was so good last year. I just hope Vickers is as good.
Absolute mauler in the ground game, but will probably not be great at much else IMO. Fantastic lead blocker though, he loves to take people on head to head
We like to use Phillips a lot as a recieving H Back, Frank Wycheck type, so recieving isn't really a nessesary skill Sent by HTC Vivid using Tapatalk
Don't get why Texans fans say losing him is nothing of value. Guy is a monster in the run game as a lead blocker. He opens up holes for guys. Grats Cowboys got yourself a damn fine fullback.
We tried to get Leach last year. Him and McClain. I wanted Leach more then McClain. Might be the best run blocking FB in the leauge
I went to Beaumont one time, it's a nice town. I had the best fried chicken there. He would probably be happy to stay in his home state.
