Free agent guard Evan Mathis will stay with the Philadelphia Eagles, reaching agreement on a five-year contract worth $25 million with $7 million guaranteed, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. A 2005 third-round pick out of Alabama by the Carolina Panthers, the 6-foot-5, 302-pound Mathis sat most of his rookie season before starting 15 games in 2006. Waived by the Panthers in 2008, Mathis spent part of that season with the Miami Dolphins before landing with the Cincinnati Bengals. Mathis started seven of 26 games in Cincinnati before signing a one-year deal with the Eagles in 2011. Mathis started 15 games at left guard for the Eagles and had drawn attention from the Baltimore Ravens on the free agent market. Source: Mac's Football Blog
i agree with you specially because the O-line will be the same and there will not be any more growing pains since they all have that chemistry. I'm so happy to hear this news
