I think they thought the owners were just gonna take it and not make a big deal ought of it. And now that can't go back on this. It would make em look weak I don't tho knthis stemmed from roger himself but from the other owners and they pressured roger into the desicion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This why I disnt think Dallas or Washington would go nuclear. I just can't convey it as well as. This guy from another board Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How is it having brains when someone tells you not to do something because it will hurt you in the future. The cowboys and redskins are like the child that was told not to touch the stove cause its hot but they do it anyway.
Simple fact is this: unless they signed an agreement or acknowledgment that there would be formal repercussions, there's no legal ground for the NFL to stand on. I know NUMEROUS people who aren't NFC East fans who believe this is absolute bullcrap, and it is. It's like you have a paid Holiday at work that you aren't supposed to work, but were told you can come in and get overtime if you'd like.. but you don't go in, and you get wrote up. Is that alright? No. So why is this? The people saying it is are simply being bias. IF it had happened to their team, they'd be think differently (although they'll say they wouldn't I'm sure).
why does there have to be something to sign if your told your gonna have negetive consequences just dont do it. Its not like they were blindsided by it they knew what they were doing.
Because the NFL is a business. And nothing is legal and binding unless a contract is signed. From what I have read during the "uncapped year" there was nothing signed or put in place for such penalties. The Skins and the Cowboys will win this lawsuit...
This. Like the Eagles and the Giants have never done anything wrong since they've been in the league. Perish the thought!!!:icon_rolleyes:
Jones and Snyder can sue the NFL if they want but I hope they realize that if they do, the cities of Arlington and Landover will never host a SB.
This needs to get settled out of court. This could be very dangerous if it doesn't. If the NFL doesn't have the paperwork and a legal foot to stand on, Goodal needs to be fired. Without the legal agreements, what he did was very dangerous Sent by HTC Vivid using Tapatalk
Who said anything about a Tennessee SB? Fact is Jerry World was a comedy of errors that the NFL is still in court about.
If he can win a lawsuit, then fine. If he doesn't have anything that was signed, and with no written rules put into place, I dont think he can. If the NFL can't, they need to settle and fire Goodal You have to cross your T's and dot your I's with millionaire athletes, let alone billionaire owners Sent by HTC Vivid using Tapatalk
Nah, all I am saying is the NFL isn't going to be racing back to Dallas for a Super Bowl anytime soon, lawsuit or no lawsuit. That doesn't even factor in the equation for this lawsuit.
Meh.. I could really care less about another SB in Dallas. I am more worried about Dallas playing in a SB.
I agree with Steve on the SB. It's not (biting my tongue) goodells fault he is following the other owners lead but I think I this goes bad it will end bad for him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
