After Peyton Manning has decided to play for the Broncos, it was assumed that Alex Smith would return to San Francisco after their pursuit of Peyton Manning, but that isn't exactly the case. Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports Smith is telling sources that he would actually strongly consider playing for the Dolphins "under the right circumstances." This after sources close to Smith earlier said the quarterback would be going back to San Francisco if Peyton Manning didn't pick San Francisco. Salguero is also told Smith's agent Tom Condon has been in talks with the Dolphins today and according to Peter King of SI.com, he is hearing Smith is very serious about Miami--if they're serious about him. We don't know whether it is a ploy on Smith and Condon's part to squeeze more money out of the 49ers or if he is seriously interested in Miami. Source: The Redzone
