The San Francisco 49ers still don't know who their starting quarterback could be. Alex Smith is looking around, particularly at Miami, which could leave San Francisco with Colin Kaepernick and (if they go after him) Josh Johnson. Shockingly, one backup quarterback might be throwing himself at San Francisco. He seems interested at least if this tweet is any indication: "@DeniseWhite_EAG: How about @VinceYoung to the Dolphins? I hear rumblings? Would he be a good fit for them??" Or the 49ers." If Smith does end up elsewhere, the 49ers are going to be really looking hard for quarterbacks, and Young might be a potential backup option. Source: SBNation.com

if they feel like their other QB's can't win them a game if smith gets hurt, then they should sign VY. at this point, VY is a just a back-up qb...... someone that if your starter goes down, you can hope that he is hot and can win you a game or 2 until your starter gets back.
