Protesters began to gather on the property of the Miami Dolphins' training facility Tuesday afternoon to voice their concerns with the direction of the franchise according to Izzy Gould of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. About 30 people, including four men with paper bags over their heads and another one clutching a Dan Marino doll, said recent decisions by Dolphins' management led to what is believed to be the first protest of the franchise by its fan base. "We have the most passionate fans in football, and they are not shy about letting their sentiments be known," Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said in a statement. "We understand, and we are working hard on giving them something to cheer about this season." Some fans held signs that read "FIRELAND," a reference to general manager Jeff Ireland. A few cars honked as the protesters yelled, clapped and at one point chanted, "Jeff Ireland's got to go." Protesters had been standing on Miami Dolphins' property. They were politely asked to protest across the street,a police officer asked the protesters to stay off the road and added, "I would be with you."

Again...the way they are handling their QB position...just in line with everything else down there. I thought they'd take a step in the right direction with that this offseason...wrong!

Believe me it's Ireland. Ross is a tool and everything but he pretty much lets his football people run the show. I've been an Ireland supporter but this crap I am done with. Ross is a guy who will open his wallet to get the best, but it's Ireland that seems to keep the best away.

I wonder how much of the beef from the players' side is coming from how he questioned Dez Bryant at the combine.

i thought it might have been Ross for a long time too but, like MJ said, it's becoming pretty obvious that Ireland is the cancer that so many players and coaches are trying to avoid. People in the league are now calling him out by name as the #1 reason the phins are not an attractive destination.

yep, and the way he treated sparano and the abortion of the harbaugh interview .......... ireland has hecked up way too many times and now has a reputation
