we don't have any broncos fans on this board but I have some family in Denver that I talked to this week about this whole thing so I'll give you their thoughts on this whole thing. I thought these thoughts were interesting because it hadn't crossed my mind but this doesn't seem unbelievable: There are a lot of broncos fans that believe Elway never liked Tebow because he was hugely popular amongst the fans of Denver, of which Elway feels he is King ........... Elway has an ego the size of China and he felt Tebow was getting too much praise and love from the fans of Denver for doing very little (in Elway's opinion) ............. he feared Tebow getting better as a player, securing the starting role for life and sharing the throne in Denver as an enormously popular player. Peyton is not a threat to his throne because Peyton will only play there for a couple of years and will always be thought of as a Colt and an 'outsider' to the Bronco fans, even if he wins them a Super Bowl. I hadn't thought of this but it's apparently a theory that's being discussed quite a bit amongst Bronco fans. I have always known Elway was an ego-maniac ........... we knew that going back to his college days ............. is the King trying to protect his castle by sending the 'threat' out of town on a rail?
