Jeremy Shockey Wants The NFL To Punish Warren Sapp

Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports reports free agent tight end Jeremy Shockey continued to vent his displeasure with NFL Network analyst Warren Sapp and the league in general over accusations that he was an informant in the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal that resulted in extensive penalties for the team. Shockey continued to emphatically deny he said anything to the league and communicated that directly with Saints coach Sean Payton on Thursday. Shockey said he has not been contacted by anyone with the NFL regarding its apparent violation of league policy that whistleblowers not be identified. Shockey said he has been contacted by multiple lawyers about filing a lawsuit over the matter. “Is the league going to come down on their own people when someone does something so wrong and outrageous?â€￾ Shockey said. “There should be a standard for punishment, like getting suspended or fined or losing your job. If I say something about officials, the league fines me. “This guy says something about me that’s not true and that he’s not supposed to say and what happens? Nothing. You’d think they would have done something to check it out. Heck, this guy [allegedly] hit a woman, got arrested and nothing happened to him.â€￾

What would the NFL really be able to do to him? Last I heard, he's not in the league, anymore. Therefore, the NFL wouldn't have much jurisdiction, would they?

 

Dear Lord. Shockey, you're looking more like a snitch every day. Even when we all didn't think it was possible.

 

Sapp should be punished by the NFL Network, freaking cancerous butthole....Unless you have definite proof that Shockey snitched Sapp needs to STFU. Isn't this like slander?

 

Be a man and confront him face to face. Otherwise keep your mouth closed Shockey.

 

Those who are calling Shockey a "snitch" for this incident should look deeper into the situation (Ironically, just like Warren Sapp should have). Warren Sapp has made a slanderous statement with the possibility of damaging the persons reputation and future work opportunities (We know blackballing is something that happens in sport, and players have been so for less than what the accusation on hand) without any presentable evidence to back up his claims. If Warren doesn't go on to do so or have any other sources backing up his claims, then Shockey has every right to press for action.

 

I want the NFL to punish my boss for making me work 12 hours yesterday.

If Shockey wasn't a notorious crap talker and douchebag, I'd agree.

I don't feel the need to stick up for this guy or Sapp. Their both clowns who deserve the bad press their getting.

Jeremy Shockey is a snitch. Is it as a result of him potentially being a snitching snitch? No. It's a result of him being a DOUCHEBAG BUTTHOLE. Shockey, since his time at "the U" has been a cocky, arrogant douchebag. That's the issue here. He's keeping his own butt unemployed by being that way. If Sapp is wrong(which I don't doubt that he isn't), Shockey will still be a snitch. Find Warren and punch him in the face or some crap. Don't be a cat and try and get the principal involved.

And in my humble opinion if Shockey isn't the snitch he should just shut the heck up, say it wasn't him and then let it fade. In my history of working with kids, generally the guilty ones are the ones who don't give it up. They're the ones who keep carrying on about it. If Shockey wants this to be absolved, just shut up. Say I wouldn't ever do that to my friends and colleagues and end it. Don't be a whiny little snitch.

 

Just fight and get it over with.

obviously very few people like shockey and he's a douchebag but from a legal standpoint, sapp could be in big trouble here unless he and/or the league can prove it was not slander.

and the rumor floating around is that shockey is talking to lawyers so it's probably happening.

yep, there are reasons for slander laws ............. it can cost people their careers, their marriages, their relationships, etc. ................ it's not something to just brush off.
