Tim Tebow said he has met with several of his Jets teammates and has exchanged texts with Sanchez per Justin Terranova of the New York Post. “From my conversations about him he was excited to be working with me, and I am excited. I have a lot of respect for him as a person, football player,†Tebow said. “We talked about that. I am excited about that opportunity.†The Jets have said Sanchez will remain the team’s starting quarterback, but coach Rex Ryan told NFL Network on Sunday that Tebow could be on the field for as many as 20 plays a game.
