Free agent wide receiver Torry Holt will sign a one-year contract and retire the following day as a member of the St. Louis Rams, Tony Softli of 101 ESPN in St. Louis reports. Selected by the Rams with the sixth overall pick of the 1999 NFL Draft out of North Carolina State, Holt spent 10 seasons with the Rams, catching 869 passes for 12,660 yards and 74 touchdowns in earning seven trips to the Pro Bowl. Holt led the NFL in receptions in 2003 and receiving yards in both 2000 and 2003. On the NFL's all-time receiving lists, Holt ranks 13th in receptions (920), 10th in receiving yards (13,382) and is tied for 28th with 74 receiving touchdowns. In Cleveland/Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams history, Holt is second behind Isaac Bruce in those three categories, trailing by 71 receptions, 1,449 yards and 10 touchdowns in 39 fewer games.

I honestly didn't know he was even still in the league, nice to see him go home and retire a Ram.

He wasn't, he was the color commentator for a Browns game this past season, and probably for other teams' games I didn't watch I would think. He was turrrrible, and it was awesome.
