The Detroit Lions are banking on a big return from Mikel Leshoure, the running back from Illinois they drafted in the second round last year. Leshoure missed the entire season with a ruptured Achilles tendon, and he is expected to be fully healthy. But now Leshoure is dealing with an offseason issue. Leshoure will be arraigned today in Berrien County, Mich., on a charge of marijuana possession, according to the Oakland Press. Per the report, which originated from ESPN 96.1, this is a second offense for Leshoure. We’ll have to see where this situation heads, but if it is a second offense for Leshoure, he could have more issues to deal with than ensuring he is ready to roll at the start of training camp.

Gotta love players that are subject to a suspension before they ever play one down in the NFL. Good going kid!

may be a suspension? Twice in a month? Was looking forward to seeing him play this year. Guess it will be put on hold for a few games.

yep, very disappointing. there is a golden opportunity for someone to star in the lions backfield. great passing game, not a lot of competition in the backfield......... the lions are just waiting for someone to take the bull by the horns in that backfield and this kid is getting in his own way.

saw a little of him in college and was personally interested in seeing him in Detroit. Seemed like a homerun threat from anywhere on the field. And a side note, seen where Fairley got popped also. Kinda figured him to do that.
