Chief Jay Strongbow Passes Away

    Joseph Scarpa, better known Chief Jay Strongbow, the No. 2 babyface during the Pedro Morales title run in the early 70s, was reported to have passed away today according to Jim Ross on twitter. Scarpa, who was a top star under his own name in the 60s in particular, was 83. He got his biggest career breakwhile already in his 40s as a Native American babyface in the WWWF, and would headline tons of small town and mid-sized market shows in both singles and tags against the top heels of the era.
