The golf ball sat at the bottom of the left pocket of Wayne Mitchell's green cargo shorts."I've got a zip on it," Mitchell said of the zipper pulled tight across the pants leg.He might have considered a safety deposit box.Mitchell owned -- for a few hours, at least -- one of the most famous golf balls in Masters history. He got it Sunday afternoon after Louis Oosthuizen double-eagled the par-5 2nd hole, pulled the Titleist from the cup and, incredibly, underhand-tossed it toward the patrons seated behind the green. i would think he would get something like that............ either that, or he's just really rich and didn't need the money at all because he has to be worth some $$$$.
Haha, it's a dream of mine but let's be real, playing there would get downright frustrating and anger-filled after a round or two. No way it's actually fun to try to play well there if you're 95% of the able-bodied golfers of the world.
i heard that the Augusta officials found the guy in the crowd and informed him that all golf balls were the property of the private club and taking property off of the course would be stealing. i'm not sure if an 'agreement' was made, but i heard the guy who caught the ball was from New Zealand and filthy rich and left in a private jet later that day so he wasn't like you and I. He didn't need the money so he may not have asked for anything.
