Osi Umenyiora isn't saying if he'll attend offseason workouts for the Super Bowl champion New York Giants next week, but the veteran defensive end did make his feelings clear about his desired role and future with the team Thursday. "It would be a wonderful thing to do to start your career with one team and finish it with one team. I would love to do it," said Umenyiora, who's expressed dissatisfaction with his contract in recent years while accusing GM Jerry Reese of breaking promises to redo the deal. "Is it realistic? Is it reality? Who knows. I don't like being a backup, I can tell you that. So, who knows how that is going to shake out. Hopefully I'll be able to stay here and finish out my career, but I just don't know." While battling a late-season ankle injury in 2011, Umenyiora came off the bench behind emergent all-pro Jason Pierre-Paul but finished with nine sacks in nine games while adding 3.5 in his rotational role in four playoff outings.
