For his leading role in the New Orleans Saints' bounty scandal, former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is cast as an NFL villain. He also has been cast off with an indefinite suspension from the league, he will always remain a hero, however, in the eyes of two Kansas residents. Williams helped with storm cleanup in Wichita after that community was ravaged by a tornado on Saturday night, the city's KSN-TV reports. Williams, accompanied by a friend in a pickup truck, came to the aid of Scott Lyon and Lyon's girlfriend with their efforts in clearing debris from near her home. “He's a really nice guy,†Lyon said of Williams. “He went out and helped in a community he doesn't live in. He just wanted to help us.†"He was chain sawing, cutting branches,†Lyon said. "He was getting his hands pretty dirty." Source: Sporting News
Williams may have been an butthole for doing what he did with the Saints but I thought this story should be posted because he did something wonderful for someone else.
1. You bet your butt he did...another plus in Roger Goodell's book. 2. He's got nothing else to do right now...why the hell not... All kidding aside, good effort by Williams.
He is trying too save his rep. He would not have been doing this if the bounty scandal never came to surface.
