The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with free agent linebacker Geno Hayes on a one-year contract, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. Terms were not disclosed. A 2008 sixth round pick out of Florida State by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the 6-foot-1, 226-pound Hayes has started 42 of 47 games over the last three seasons, totaling 244 tackles, seven sacks, four interceptions and 14 passes defensed. Hayes played in 85 percent of the Buccaneers' defensive snaps in both 2009 and 2010 before playing in just 69 percent of the plays last season. Hayes has played in between 30 and 40 percent of the special teams plays and has recorded nine of his 257 career tackles in that phase of the game. Source: Mac's Football Blog
