For Raiders middle linebacker Rolando McClain and his assault cases, it's one down, one to go. He had a lawsuit against him stemming from an incident in 2008, while McClain was attending the University of Alabama. The suit was filed by one Mathew Mangham who alleged that McClain ran him over with his vehicle as well as physically assaulted him. Mangham was reportedly seeking $75,000 in the suit for damages sustained in the incident. As a stipulation of the settlement, neither McClain nor Mangham can speak of the details of the case so we don't know how much the settlement ultimately yielded. Source: SBNation.com
i heard someone on sports radio the other day calling mclain a huge bust ............. i disagree. he was 'ok' his rookie season but really had a good season last season (just his 2nd). i think if this guy keeps out of trouble, he can be a stud for a long time in this league.
As far as I can tell we haven't really seen that he can show good character, because this one looks pretty bad, and I've never been impressed with his personality. You're right about him being good on the field though, maybe even better in a 34
