Who's The Better Draft Guru: Mel Kiper Or Mike Mayock

I found that article and it got me wondering what the clan over here thinks. I am a Mayock guy 100%. I never was a big Kiper guy and sometimes I feel McShay is better. So, on draft day what draft guru has your ear?

 

I'm a big Todd McShay fan. I don't really know a lot about mayock. I feel like Mel Kiper is overrated simply because he's been doing it forever and more people know his name.

I like Mayock more, but without Kiper there would be no Mayock to begin with.

 

It seems to me that Kiper is getting benefits from some of these players' agents or something. Sometimes he is so full of crap I just can't believe it. Doesn't help that he looks and talks like a used car salesman.

I disagree with all of these guys more often than I imagine I would, but I definitely like Mayock the most. Actually started paying a lot of attention to Greg Cosell through his twitter feed. Like his analysis a lot.

 

I kinda like Mel, maybe it's because I' be been watch him for years and got used to him.

 

I like Cosell but he was saying some completely off the wall stuff last week that made no sense.

He takes a unique look at things which is refreshing (not necessarily 'right', just nice seeing things from a different perspective than most go along with). I saw the Claiborne ranking, and well... he has a crapload more time to stare at film than I do and I won't lie and say I've watched hour upon hour of all of the top cornerbacks. I have watched Gilmore and I do like his game, and I sure as hell would take Gilmore over Claiborne's ignorant butt.

are we talking from a 'likability' point of view or an accuracy point of view?

they are both very knowledgeable on the nfl draft and i listen to what both of them have to say.

from a 'likability' standpoint, i've never liked Kiper

 

I like mel kiper

 

Perhaps I should pay more attention to mayock.
