The NFL has reminded teams to withhold reporting draft picks by any medium until after it has been announced at the podium according to Darren Rovell of MSNBC. This has become a problem over the past several years as teams have tweeted the announced picks prior to the podium announcement at the NFL Draft. The NFL has already taken the proactive step by having the networks eliminate shots of draft-eligible prospects on the phone in the green room according to Brian McIntyre of Mac's Football Blog. The league may also prevent producers of the draft broadcasts, who are made aware of the picks just before they're announced, from whispering the selections to their on-air talent. G-H-E-Y. Lighten up Rog, we're all still going to watch the draft so you can continue to make the league billions in ad revenue, Cocksucker.
The player forfeits the draft pick and has to reenter the draft next year. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket
and their parents have to return their team hats also. So the league wants us to wait an few extra minutes to find out who our team picked. Makes no sense. Just tightening their grip on everything NFL related.
I may be in the minority, but I personally like it. I think people are defensive about it because a good majority of us just can't stand Goodell. Adds a little more drama to it....as much drama as there can be.
if you want it to be a surprise then don't televise it. just come out with the picks the next day in the papers.
