Brian Dawkins will sign a one-day contract and officially retire an Eagle on Saturday, team sources said. The Eagles have scheduled an 11 a.m. press conference for Dawkins, who announced his retirement from football on Monday. The veteran safety played his last three seasons in Denver but will be most remembered for his passionate 13 years in Philadelphia. A number of Dawkins' ex-teammates have already told the Eagles that they plan to attend Saturday's announcement at the NovaCare Complex. There are expected to be a few surprise guests. You know, the Eagles could sell out the stadium with a Dawkins retirement event. Do this crap right. I want fireworks. I want F14s. I want celebrities. I want everyone with a bottle of Cristal in their hands when they walk in the door.
One of my favorite Eagles. Loved watching him play. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-A7U46Dki2Q]Brian Dawkins - Weapon X - YouTube[/ame]
